NeuroSpark Brain Challenge 2026

Jan 3 , 2026, location (Redmond, WA ), 8-12

The competition features multiple rounds designed to test your neuroscience knowledge in a fun and engaging environment, including a written exam, a patient diagnosis video round, and a live Q&A final for top competitors.

Prizes: Trophies, tech gadgets, and gift cards will be awarded to the Top 3 winners All participants receive a certificate of participation and community impact.

NeuroSpark Brain Challenge

USA Brain Bee Model with Judge's Pep Talk

Date: Saturday, January 3rd, 2026

9:00 AM - 9:30 AM

Participant Check-in & Welcome

Process: Grab your name tag, a welcome packet, and some light morning snacks. Find a seat and get ready for an exciting day of neuroscience!

9:30 AM - 9:45 AM

Opening Remarks & Pep Talk from the Judges

Activity: We will kick off the day with a welcome from the Team NeuroSpark founder. Immediately following, our esteemed guest judges—Assistant Professors from the University of Washington's Neuroscience Department—will deliver an inspiring pep talk.

Goal: The judges will share a bit about their journey in neuroscience and offer words of encouragement to all competitors, setting a positive and professional tone for the day.

9:45 AM - 11:00 AM

Part I: Written & Neuroanatomy Challenge

Format: A two-part written round taken at your seat, including multiple-choice questions and image-based identification of brain structures.

11:00 AM - 11:15 AM

Brain Break & Refresh

Activity: A quick 15-minute break to stand up, stretch, and reset before the next challenge.

11:15 AM - 12:00 PM

Part II: Patient Diagnosis (Video Round)

Format: Watch video clips of actors portraying patients with neurological disorders and write down your diagnosis.

12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

Lunch & Scoring Break

Activity: Lunch is on us! Eat and relax while our judges tally the scores from the morning rounds.

1:00 PM - 1:15 PM

Finalist Announcement & A Word to the Finalists

Process: We will announce the Top 10 Finalists who are advancing. Before the final round begins, one of our judges will give a brief, final word of encouragement to the finalists on stage.

1:15 PM - 2:30 PM

Final Round: Live Oral Question & Answer

Format: The Top 10 finalists take the stage for a high-stakes, elimination-style Q&A round. This is the ultimate test of knowledge and composure!

2:30 PM - 3:00 PM

Awards Ceremony & Closing Remarks

Process: We will celebrate all participants, present awards to our finalists and champion, and announce the final amount raised for our charity partners, celebrating our collective impact.
